　　一支人类的精英部队抵挡入侵的外星武装，努力终结人类与外星人之间已持续10年之久的战争。
　　影片的故事发生在2031年，外星人对地球发动首次大规模袭击，将人类文明毁于一旦的10年之后。一支人类部队驻守37号岗哨（Outpost 37），深陷外星武装（片中成为Heavies）包围，堪称全世界最危险的地方，每日与剩下的外星入侵者作战，试图将它们消灭。
　　同在岗哨中的，还有两名纪录片摄影师，他们跟踪拍摄这支部队的战斗生活。世界或许遗忘了37号岗哨，但外星人可没忘记，它们正准备进行第二波对地球的大规模攻击，岗哨内的士兵则是唯一能阻止它们，拯救世界的人。
　　《异星岗哨》是 Jabbar Raisani 的首部导演作品，此前 Raisani 曾为《神奇四侠》、《超人归来》，以及《权利的游戏》制作视觉特效。由主演过《挑战者》系列电影（Highlander）及多部科幻作品的阿德里安·保罗主演，专工科幻惊悚和恐怖片的 IFC Midnight 北美发行，1月30日小范围上映，同步登陆VOD。
